The Journal

The Journal of World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, published by the Home of Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Society, is a comprehensive academic journal dedicated to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Based in Canada and distributed internationally, it is published quarterly in both Chinese and English. Its readership includes TCM and acupuncture practitioners, clinicians, researchers, educators, and students in Canada and around the world, particularly owners and managers of TCM and acupuncture clinics.

The World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Culture Week, organized by the Home of Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been held annually since 2021. The event has consistently received strong support and assistance from all three levels of government in Canada. Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent special congratulatory letters for the second and third Culture Weeks, highly commending the event’s contributions to the community. Government officials at various levels have also attended the event in person or sent congratulatory messages, while more than 50 media outlets have provided extensive coverage. To date, the Lahoo.ca reports on World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Week has received more than six million views, setting a remarkable record for the international promotion of traditional Chinese medicine and achieving tremendous success.

At the opening ceremony of the Third World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Culture Week in 2023, it was officially announced that the Government of British Columbia had proclaimed June 18 to 24, during the Culture Week, as “BC Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Week,” and a proclamation certificate was presented. This was a major milestone in promoting the healthy development and public awareness of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

The Journal of World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture was officially launched in 2024. As the only professional academic publication affiliated with the World Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Culture Week platform, the journal will build upon the platform’s international reach and strive to become an important forum for academic and cultural exchange in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Its mission is to advance the development of TCM and acupuncture and, ultimately, to support the delivery of high-quality and effective TCM and acupuncture services to local communities.

The publication of the Journal of World Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture marks another significant milestone in the history of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture worldwide.
